Virtual Restaurant Week

May 6, 2020

Dear Restaurateurs,

I recognize the financial hardships that our business community is facing as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Each week, I speak with Governor Lamont to share my thoughts and concerns regarding the reopening of local eateries. As we adapt to this changing situation, we want to use this time to promote all of our local restaurants who are still operating takeout and delivery.

In conjunction with the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce, the City of Danbury will be hosting a Virtual Restaurant Week May 11-May 17 to promote curbside pick-up and delivery.

I encourage every restaurant in Danbury to participate! While there is no cost to participate, we ask that you provide either a prix-fixe menu or meal special. Your Virtual Restaurant Week Deal will be posted on the City of Danbury website, as well as the City of Danbury/Mayor Mark Boughton social media accounts. All those who participate are required to follow CDC guidelines. We hope you will join us in this effort!

If you would like to partake in Virtual Restaurant Week, please share your special menu and takeout/delivery information with Jonathan Barney in the Mayor’s Office via email at [email protected]

Please stay well, and we will get through this together.

Sincerely,

Mayor Mark D. Boughton
