Current Construction in Danbury

ADVISORY

As of July 10th, Keeler Street is a one-way road with entrance from Main Street to Liberty St. 

ADVISORY

Beginning August 11th, Danbury Public Works Department will be conducting road construction at night on Kenosia Ave and Sugar Hollow Road. This construction will not result in road closings, however, there is the possibility of travel restrictions and detours during this work period.

During this period there will be NO on-street parking. Construction should last approximately 3 to 4 weeks. Any questions regarding this notice should be directed to Danbury Department of Public Works at 203-797-4605.

ADVISORY

Beginning August 14th, 7:00 am Danbury Public Works Department will be conducting paving on Shelter Rock Rd at Cross St, Starr St, and Sheridan St. This construction will result in traffic restrictions and delays. Road closures will also be required at times during this project. 

During this period there will be NO on-street parking. Construction should last approximately 1 day. Any questions regarding this notice should be directed to Danbury Department of Public Works at 203-797-4605.

ADVISORY – Triangle Street Bridge Rehabilitation Project

The Triangle Street bridge, located on Triangle Street near the intersection with Lee Mac Avenue and over the Still River, will be rehabilitated this summer.

Starting on July 10, the width of the traffic lanes, one in each direction, over the bridge shall be reduced to two ten-foot wide lanes and the speed limit will be reduced to 20 miles per hour. Delays should be expected and drivers are recommended to avoid using the bridge.

A detailed Traffic Detour Plan has been prepared and detour signs will be set up to direct drivers to use alternate routes. Thank you for your cooperation and patience during this construction.
