Old Shelter Rock Road Closure – Eversource Gas Work

May 10, 2021

NOTICE FROM THE CITY OF DANBURY DEPARTMENT OF ENGINEERING

Eversource Gas needs to replace the gas main on Old Shelter Rock Road from the intersection on Skyline Drive to the intersection on Woodside Avenue. It has been determined that this section of road is too narrow for construction equipment and motorists to safely use at the same time and therefore a Road Closure and Detour Plan has been developed. The construction work is scheduled to start on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 and last for approximately two weeks. The construction work shall be performed only on weekdays between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM and the road will be reopened each day after 3:30 PM. The Detour and Road Closure Signs will be installed by Monday, May 10, 2021 to provide motorists prior notice and direct drivers to use alternate routes. If you have questions or comments please contact Thomas Altermatt, PE, Project Manager at 203-797-4641.
