HOW TO PAY YOUR TAXES

If your coupon reads “Back Taxes Due,” you owe more than what is on the coupon. Please review your account online before making a payment.

Due to Covid-19, taxpayers are asked to pay their taxes using one of the following methods:

1. Mail your payment coupon and check to:
Tax Collector
P.O. Box 237
Danbury, CT 06813

2. All current taxes may be paid at any local branch of Savings Bank of Danbury or Union Savings Bank. Please bring your payment coupon with you. If your coupon says “Back Taxes Due” you must use one of the other methods.

3. To pay by credit card or e-check go to https://www.danbury-ct.gov/tax-utility-bills/. Please read the fee disclaimer before continuing. The fees are charged by the online credit card reader, not the City of Danbury.
Click on the orange “Property Tax” button and search for your information to view and pay your bills.

4. Put payment coupon and check/money order in an envelope and place it in the drop box located to the right of the main doors to City Hall. This is a locked box that only the Tax Collector’s Office has access to.
