Hanna’s Middle Eastern Restaurant, one of Danbury’s premier spots for authentic Lebanese cuisine, has been a staple of our community for over 27 years. Owned and operated by John Hanna, the restaurant, and attached market, is treasured by many Danbury residents as well as regular patrons from all over the tri-state area.
Hanna’s Restaurant serves classic Middle Eastern dishes such as hummus, kibbe and falafel. And after all of these years, the quality of the food has never been compromised. John Hanna credits the success to the authentic recipes and fresh ingredients, “You can’t take shortcuts with good food.” Mr. Hanna created his restaurant to represent the look and feel of a typical Lebanese eatery equipped with Arabic music in a very traditional table setting.
Hanna’s offers catering services and a party space that can hold up to 45 guests. If you aren’t hosting an event, you can always stop in the market for a pint of Hanna’s famous hummus to bring home, it is definitely a crowd pleaser!
Hanna’s menu is comprised of meat and fish options along with a slew of vegetarian and vegan delights. The most popular picks include the hummus, tabbouli, kibbe, grape leaves (both meat and vegetarian), and spinach pies.
Stop by the market for specialty Middle Eastern items, most of which you won’t find in your neighborhood grocery store.
Hanna’s is located on 72 Lake Ave and is open Monday-Saturday for lunch and Tuesday-Saturday for dinner.
