Airport
The Danbury Municipal Airport sits on approximately 250 acres of property. It is a public use general aviation airport.
Building
The Building Department is a key division for planning the future of the City of Danbury.
Business Advocacy
The Office of Business Advocacy will oversee all economic development efforts throughout the city.
Corporation Counsel
The Office of the Corporation Counsel manages the entire legal function of the Government of the City of Danbury.
Elderly Services
The Department of Elderly Services seeks to increase the quality of life of Danbury area citizens who are age 60 or older by developing many comprehensive programs specifically designed to enrich the general well-being of Danbury’s more mature population.
Emergency Medical Services
The mission of Danbury Emergency Medical Services is to provide prompt, courteous and professional pre-hospital care service excellence while supporting the collaborative objectives of public safety and health in the community.
Engineering
The Engineering Division of the Public Works Department prides itself on being versatile and resourceful with respect to all engineering related projects for the City.
Finance
The Director of Finance directly oversees the City’s financial functions which consist of the following departments: Finance, Tax Assessor, Information Technology, Purchasing, Tax Collector, and Risk Management.
Fire Department
The Danbury Fire Department is an all hazard emergency response agency.
Fire Marshal
The Office of Community Risk Reduction is made up of six Deputy Fire Marshals and one Fire Marshal. The main focus of this office is to reduce the number of fires and fire-related injuries within the city through public education and enforcement.
Health & Human Services
The Health & Human Services Department provides our community with model health programs, housing & social services advocacy and other services in a cost effective and comprehensive manner.
Human Resources
The Human Resources Department is committed to providing quality service in all Human Resource operations with integrity, responsiveness, and sensitivity to all 600+ employees of the City of Danbury.
Information Technology
The Information Technology Division is responsible for the planning, design, support and programming of all technology used by city offices.
Library
The Danbury Library is committed to being responsive to the varied needs of our city’s diverse community and a source of inspiration through words and ideas.

Preserving the quality and character of Danbury’s neighborhoods is a top priority for the Office of Neighborhood Assistance.

The Mission of the Office of Project Excellence (OPE) is to unite all city projects and align them with the vision and long term strategy of the city.

The Parks and Recreation Department offers extensive programming opportunities for all of our residents.
Permit Center
The Permit Center is responsible for overseeing the action taken by the various municipal departments on permit applications submitted by the public.
Planning & Zoning
The mission of the Planning & Zoning Department is to protect & improve Danbury's neighborhoods, business centers, community resources, and our environment.
Police Department
The Danbury Police Department's mission is to provide an environment free from the fear of crime, where people can enjoy a high quality of life.
Public Works
Danbury’s Public Works Department is comprised of several Divisions which ultimately provide the core of the services that residents and taxpayers receive.
Purchasing
The Purchasing Department is responsible for the procurement of all goods and services required by City departments and agencies.
Recreation
The Parks and Recreation Department for the City of Danbury offers extensive programming opportunities for resident’s young and the young at heart
Risk Management
The mission for Risk Management is to promote the safety and health of City employees and those who use city facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
Tax Assessor
Accurately assesses each property in Danbury and compiles these into a “Grand List” of real estate, business personal property & registered motor vehicles.
Tax Collector
The Tax Collector’s duties and responsibilities are guided by the State of Connecticut General Statutes and the City of Danbury Ordinances.
Town Clerk
The Town Clerk’s Office serves as Danbury’s keeper of the records for all documents that pertain to the City of Danbury.
Veterans Affairs
The Director of Veterans Affairs is responsible for the knowledge of federal & state laws, benefits, and rights available to veterans and their dependents.
Voter Registration
The Voter Registrar has a variety of responsibilities, from preparing & verifying the official voting list, to ensuring we have fair and accurate elections.
Weights & Measures
As stated by the provisions of section 43-6 of the Connecticut General Statutes, there shall be a sealer of weights & measures to be appointed by the mayor.
