Citizens Government Academy

Danbury residents, Danbury property owners and Danbury-area college students are invited to participate in Mayor Boughton’s Citizens Government Academy! This opportunity gives residents the chance to learn the inside workings of various city departments during an 8-week course conducted by Mayor Boughton. Speakers will include various department heads and City leaders.

Sessions will be held on Mondays from October 15th – December 10th from 6-8pm. There will be no class Monday, November 12 in observance of Veterans Day.

Classes will include field trips to the Danbury Fire Department, Police Department, Public Works Facility, and the Danbury Museum and Historical Society. The first session will be held at City Hall in the Council Chambers on the 3rd floor.

Please fill out an application and return it to Austin Samuelson, Community Services Coordinator, via a.samuelson@danbury-ct.gov. You can also pick up and application in person in the Mayor’s Office (3rd Floor-City Hall).
