Municipal Valuation Services Inc., Informal Assessment Hearings

In accordance with Section 12-62 C.G.S, the City of Danbury is completing a revaluation of all real property for the 2017 Grand List. You should have received a notification in the mail with your new proposed assessment. Your new proposed assessment is based on 70% of market value as of October 1, 2017. Please note that the P.A. 490 use value for farm & open space is shown for those in that program. Other exemptions to assessments are not shown as part of the notice but will be applied to the final assessments.

If you have evidence proving the estimated 2017 market value for the listed property is different, you may request an appointment for an informal hearing with the revaluation company by visiting their website www.munival.com/Danbury.  You will need the PID # shown at the top of your letter in order to book your appointment. If you experience a problem accessing the website or do not have access to a computer please call (203) 292-5500 or (855) 686-4825.
